MINISTER TUNÇ: ISRAEL, WHICH TRAMPLES ON HUMAN RIGHTS, MUST ABIDE BY THE CEASEFIRE AND WITHDRAW FROM THE OCCUPIED TERRITORIES
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç said, “Achieving a ceasefire in Gaza, where babies, children, women and innocent people are massacred, is a belated but extremely important step for peace and stability in the region.”
Minister Tunç, in a statement on his social media account regarding the ceasefire in Gaza, stated that the genocide committed by the occupying Israel in Gaza by carrying out brutal attacks since 7 October 2023 was engraved in the history of humanity as a black mark.
Emphasizing that Israel turned Gaza into an open-air cemetery, Tunç said as follows:
"The ceasefire in Gaza, where babies, children, women and innocent people are massacred, is a belated but extremely important step for peace and stability in the region. Israel, which tramples on human rights, ignores international law and turns Gaza into an open-air cemetery, must abide by the ceasefire and withdraw from the occupied territories. Humanitarian aid must be delivered as soon as possible to our Palestinian brothers and sisters, who are holding on to life. After 15 months of blood and tears in Gaza, the international mechanisms must do their part to make the ceasefire permanent and prevent innocent people from losing their lives.
Our Palestinian brothers and sisters upheld human dignity with their resistance in Gaza and fought heroically for their land. Their courage is a torch that will never be extinguished for their just cause. I once again wish Allah's mercy to all our martyrs, who wrote an epic with their blood in Gaza. As Türkiye, under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to defend justice, right and truth and stand by our Palestinian brothers and sisters. We will continue to support the freedom struggle of our Palestinian brothers and sisters until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state."
